We reached out to K9 League after an incident in which our dog bit another dog. In addition, we were worried about our dog’s resource guarding, weariness of strangers entering our home (i.e. plumbers, technicians, etc.) – especially men, and lunging at other dogs while on leash.
We searched high and low, and had phone calls with several dog trainers around DFW. We called Amber with K9 League and from our first phone call, we knew that K9 League was the right choice for our dog. Amber spent over an hour with us to get a feel for our concerns and our dog, which was so unique to K9 League as other companies seemed to brush us off or ask for payment prior to a conversation.
Our dog boarded with Chris at K9 League to help his fear of men. Over the eight weeks that our dog stayed with Chris, he answered all of our questions, always taking the opportunity to send us detailed messages about our dog’s progress and spent over an hour with us each time we visited onsite.
We have seen a true change in our dog that was worth every penny. K9 League’s methodology is real and it works! Everyday activities like going on walks have been made more fun, as our dog follows commands consistently and keeps his attention on us as opposed to barking or lunging at other dogs while on leash.
We feel as though we have been given a new lease on life, as we can trust our dog to be around other humans and other pets. This is important to us as we think about planning for the future and starting a family. We were especially impressed that, even after our dog graduated from the program, Amber and Chris took an active interest in his success by checking in, answering all of our questions, coming out for a follow-up, and more. We truly feel like they are in it for the long haul and want to see our dog succeed. This means so much to us. We want to thank K9 League for their work and the difference they have made for our family. We look forward to boarding our dog with them and staying in touch. We cannot recommend this program enough. Thank you, Amber and Chris!
